Known Application
Fmoc-Val-Cit-PAB-OH is a cleavable ADC linker used in the synthesis of antibody-drug conjugates (ADC). The Val-Cit is specifically cleaved by cathepsin B. As this enzyme is only present in the lysosome the ADC payload will be release only in the cell. The Fmoc is a Protecting group that can protect the N-terminal of the peptide chain, it can be deprotected under basic condition to obtain the free amine which can be used for further conjugations.
